JFW 2012 Trend #3: Ethni-City
November 25, 2011 in Jakarta Fashion Week 2012, Spring Trends, Wear The Trend
Home to 300 ethnic groups, designers no doubt gained inspirations from Indonesia’s rich culture divesity. Presented mainly as dresses, ethnic prints saw Afif Syakur‘s long fitted maxi and Ghea Panggabean‘s tribal shift dress. Danar Hadi Agnes played with a splash of red in his asymmetric neckline dress while Budhisurya explored a blue colour palette in an intriguing print.
We opt for a more subtle take on this ethnic trend. Make a statement with necklaces (from left), That’s Mona Tubo Necklace, S$164; Ernest Beaded Necklace, price TBC and That’s Mona Tatak Necklace, S$112, all available soon at our site. Add a pop of tribal colours with Tribal Print Foulard, S$45.70, from Mango; House of Harlow 1960 Enameled Tribal Wrap Ring, S$85, from Shop The Trend Boutique and Navajo Sunglasses, S$18.40, from Fred Flare.
